Francis Menassa is the CEO and Founder. Menassa cut his teeth as a Relationship Manager in private banking at Merrill Lynch, which he joined in 1996. In 2001, Francis joined Credit Suisse as a Wealth Manager in Private Client Services. In 2008, Francis and a colleague went independent and set up their own private wealth management firm, Plurimi Capital, where Francis served as the Chief Operating Officer, Partner and Head of Business Development. After more than two decades in the City, Francis established JAR Capital in 2014.
Alan Patterson is Managing Director. Alan began his investment banking career in 1989. Alan led Lazard’s new structured credit advisory business in London. He has also worked at Citigroup, Salomon Brothers and Merrill Lynch.
Stuart Bates is Chief Operations Officer. Over the last two decades, Stuart has worked at Credit Suisse and C Hoare and Co., where he served as COO, as well as Julius Baer International and Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette.
Achal looks after the Wealth Management and the Corporate Business for JAR and has been associated with the Financial services industry for the past 23 years. He started his career with Standard Chartered Bank and has held Senior Management positions with Citibank in London and Kotak Mahindra in India. He holds an MBA Degree from McGill University, Canada and an Engineering Degree in Computer Sciences from India.
Ulric joined JAR Capital Limited in the Summer of 2018, a financial industry professional with over 30 years’ experience gained in blue-Chip organisations such as Merrill Lynch and Barclays Private Bank. Whilst working in these blue chip institutions rapid progression followed culminating in senior VP-level roles at Merrills, working for the MENA region and at Barclays, working directly for the COO of IPB Barclays Private Bank.

Wael joined JAR in 2018, having previously worked in Money Boutiques, Research Centres and Think-Tanks; writing economic and political policy papers on MENA region in addition to energy issues. Wael holds a BA in Management science and post graduate degree in Finance and Banking from the Higher Institute of Business Administration. He also holds a certificate on Fintech and Future Commerce from MIT and a Blockchain Strategy certificate from Saïd Business School.
Robert Dunbar is our Compliance Officer and MLRO. With over 15 years compliance and regulatory experience, Robert has been a member of the team since 2017. Robert has worked in a variety of roles from focused remedial projects to generalist in house advisory for both large multinational corporations and small boutique investment and asset management firms. Always focused on customer outcomes, Robert enables JAR to adopt regulatory best practice throughout our operations.
Talal joined JAR Capital in July 2017 as a Senior Finance manager on the back of 6 years’ experience with a large private Wealth Manager. Prior to this Talal worked in the technically demanding field of Mechanical Engineering and has utilised the analytical skills gleaned in that industry, along with guidance from our experienced Finance Director, to build out and fine tune JAR’s financial operations.

Gérald de Senger is JAR Capital Geneva’s Managing Partner. With two decades of experience in wealth management. Gérald spent most of his career at Credit Suisse, serving in Geneva, Cairo, Beirut and Mumbai.

JAR Capital's Chief Legal Officer, Peter Young began his legal career in 1998 gaining experience in tax in London firm K&L Gates. Admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and Gibraltar, he has a broad range of multi-jurisdictional funds experience including specialist knowledge of technology investments. He is a licensed Experienced Investor Fund director bringing his legal and tax experience to several Gibraltar funds of which he is the regulated director.
